Venetian Causeway on stormy morning: Wet, minor flooding, but more rain ahead

Your BelleIsleBlog made an early morning Venetian Causeway crossing this tropical stormy Wednesday morning to give you an idea of what to expect:

The causeway is generally passable after a night of steady rain, but there is standing water heading west just before Rivo Alto, and a large puddle at the toll plaza — about six inches of rain in the C-Pass lane before the west drawbridge.

Belle Isle itself is mostly clear — some puddling near the Grand Venetian (as always), but nothing dramatic — yet.

Getting to the mainland doesn’t look too bad, but if it rains all day as expected, we may have trouble.
