If you mourned the closing of Joe Allen’s across the bridge at 1787 Purdy Ave., here’s some great news:
The space will be taken by a new branch of Morgans, the Wynwood comfort food eatery. And New Times’ Short Order blog says the new Morgan’s eatery will be run by many of the staffers from Joe Allen.
If you haven’t tried Morgan’s, they have fantastic brunch, the best grilled cheese you ever ate, and FABULOUS cookies.
This is something to smile about.

That’s great news, we eat at Morgan all the time…
But I hope they do not hire the wait staff of Joe Allen who treated customers as if they were “doing you a favor” serving you………..
