The city of Miami Beach says it has finally finished work on the Belle Isle drainage project in front of the Grand Venetian and plans a test on Monday.
The test could cause some street flooding, but that’s expected, Belle Isle Homeowners Association Scott Diffenderfer said in a note sent to homeowners on Sunday.
“The City will be testing the capacity of the pipe by intentionally releasing water into the area tomorrow (Monday, May 23, 2011) between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.,” Diffenderfer wrote. “You may observe “flooding” in the street. This is part of the normal (and required) testing process.”
When the test is complete, the city will begin replacing the curb and sidewalk in Venetian Way.
